Welcome to Onchain Drive ("the Platform", "we" or "us"). These Terms are an agreement between you and the Platform governing your use of the onchaindrive.app website and related services.
By visiting the website, connecting a wallet, placing an order or making a payment, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to all of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Nature of the service: we provide technical services only
1.1 The Platform is a technical tool that provides: software that encrypts and decrypts files in your browser; an interface for interacting with the Walrus decentralized storage network and the Sui and Base blockchains; and a technical service that submits storage registration, certification and renewal transactions to these networks on your behalf.
1.2 Your files are actually stored on independent nodes in the Walrus network operated by third parties, and payments are made through blockchains and smart contracts. We are not a storage provider, data custodian, payment institution, financial institution or exchange, and we do not hold your files, keys or digital assets.
1.3 The "service fee" charged by the Platform is compensation for the technical services above. It is not a promise or guarantee of any storage outcome, data availability or return.
2. Wallets and keys
2.1 You sign in with your own wallet; your wallet is your account. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your private keys and seed phrase. We cannot view, hold or recover them.
2.2 File encryption keys are derived in your browser from your wallet signature and are never stored by us. If your wallet is lost or stolen, or your signature is leaked, and your files can no longer be decrypted or are decrypted by others, you bear the consequences.
2.3 Only sign on onchaindrive.app. We are not liable for losses caused by signing on phishing sites, compromised devices or browsers, malicious extensions or similar causes.
3. Your content and acceptable use
3.1 You are solely responsible for all content you upload, store and share, and you warrant that you hold the necessary rights and that your content and use comply with applicable laws and regulations.
3.2 You must not use the Platform to store or distribute unlawful content, including but not limited to content that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy, sexual content involving minors, terrorist or violent extremist content, malware, or content related to fraud or other illegal activity.
3.3 Files are encrypted in your browser, so we cannot see their contents and do not review them. Upon receiving a report or a lawful request, we may stop the Platform's access to and service for the relevant files, share links or wallet addresses, and may cooperate with competent authorities as required by law. Because data is stored on a decentralized network, we cannot delete stored data from the Walrus network.
3.4 If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate service to the relevant wallet addresses without notice, and fees already paid will not be refunded.
4. Fees and payment
4.1 Before you order, the quote lists the combined cost and the service fee; paying means you accept that quote. Pricing rules are set out on the Pricing page. We may change prices; orders already paid before a change are not affected.
4.2 Payments are made on-chain and are irreversible once confirmed. You bear blockchain network fees, as well as any losses caused by sending to the wrong address, choosing the wrong network, wallet failures or similar causes.
4.3 The storage, conversion and network gas fees within the combined cost pay for third-party network fees and currency conversion; the service fee is the Platform's compensation.
4.4 All fees paid are non-refundable, except where applicable law mandatorily provides otherwise. If an upload is interrupted after payment, you may resume it from "My orders" within 7 days, up to the quota of your order; unused quota expires after 7 days.
4.5 You are responsible for reporting and paying any taxes related to your use of the Platform.
5. Storage term and renewal
5.1 Storage is prepaid for the period you choose when ordering, up to about 2 years. The expiry is determined by the records on the Walrus network.
5.2 You must renew before expiry to keep your files. We will make reasonable efforts to remind you on the website, but reminders are a convenience, not an obligation. Data that is not renewed may be purged by the network and cannot be recovered, and we are not liable for it.
5.3 Please keep separate backups of important files.
6. Third-party networks and services
The Platform relies on third-party networks and services such as Walrus, Sui, Base, the USDC issuer, wallet software, blockchain node providers, upload relays and Cloudflare. They are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their availability, security, changes to their fees or rules, failures, forks, suspensions or data loss.
7. Risks
You understand and accept the following risks: digital asset price volatility; the irreversibility of blockchain transactions; possible vulnerabilities in smart contracts, cryptography or software; node failures, temporary unavailability or loss of data on decentralized storage networks; delayed or failed transactions due to network congestion; and changes in laws and regulations.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Platform and all of its features are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free service, data security, or data availability or preservation.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Platform, including loss of data, profits or digital assets, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9.2 In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the service fees you actually paid to the Platform for the order giving rise to the claim.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of laws or regulations, or infringement of third-party rights.
11. Changes, interruption and termination
We may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Platform at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal or business reasons. Termination does not prevent you from retrieving stored data directly from the Walrus network with its blobId and your wallet during the storage term.
12. Compliance and eligibility
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Platform is lawful where you are. Do not use the Platform if such services are prohibited in your country or region, or if you are a sanctioned person or entity.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Updates will be posted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
14. General
14.1 If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect.
14.2 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Platform regarding the service.
14.3 These Terms are available in Chinese and English. In case of any inconsistency, the Chinese version prevails.
